AUTO:
Pisa-Florence, exit Pontedera-Ponsacco, follow the SS439 towards Volterra, then deviation in La bigoted towards Montecatini Val di Cecina.
BUS:
CPT-town up in Pontedera, CPT-town still up in Saline di Volterra, then continue with the CPT to Montecatini Val di Cecina.
DESCRIPTION:
To the south of the course of Cecina, in the middle of the valley of the same name and placed on the eastern slopes of the Poggio la Croce di Cecina Montecatini Go have a medieval core, which is juxtaposed to the recently developed in the valley.
The primitive oldest well-preserved example of a medieval village, has many examples of medieval and Renaissance art, including the remains of the fortress, the Praetorian Palace with a porch and the nearby parish of St. Biagio.
The latter is an asymmetric structure with three naves, the Romanesque-Gothic facade without whose front door opens onto a side.
